Sabily - Installation Inside Windows XP Part 3

Now we need to make our Sabily iso file bootable in our Sabily9_04 virtual machine. Its same like we make our DVD drive bootable in BIOS with bootable disc.

Click on Sabily9_04 icon and it will show the default setting.
As you can see, CD/DVD-ROM is not mounted.


Click on setting menu - General setting is shown.


Select setting for CD/DVD-ROM.


Click on Mount CD/DVD Drive and select ISO Image File.


CD/DVD Image is empty.


Click Add at Actions.


Locate your Sabily9_04 iso file.


Sabily9_04 iso file is located.


CD/DVD-ROM already found ISO Image File.


Setting is finished. CD/DVD Image is shown.


Sabily 9.04 iso file will be able to boot after Sabily start for installation.
Next we are ready to install our Sabily in Virtualbox virtual machine.

Sabily 9.10 Beta version Released

Yes, yesterday I got Emel from J Mehdi that Sabily 9.10 Beta version is released and he request to download and test it. It about 905 Megabyte iso file. I'm in the process to download it.

Before Sabily can be install in Windows XP, we need to create a virtual machine by using Virtualbox. To create a virtual machine, please follow this step.

Start your Virtualbox.

Just cancel the registration form.


Welcome screen.


Click on New tab and Create New Virtual Machine welcome screen appear.


Name your Virtual Machine and choose your OS type.


Select amount of memory to use.


Create new hard disk.


Welcome screen for Create New Virtual Disk appear.


Select hard disk storage type - Dynamically expanding storage.


Select virtual disk location and size - Just left to default.


Summary of the setting - Finish.


Summary of the parameter - Finish.


New virtual machine is created - Sabily9_04.


Thats it, we already create a virtual machine for Sabily inside Windows XP.
Next we will set up our Sabily 9_04 virtual machine to boot from our Sabily 9.04 iso image.

Sabily Updated Manager detected Ubuntu 9.10

Yes, updated manager detected Ubuntu 9.10 and able to upgrade. So, do we need to upgrade? I think it for Ubuntu, not Sabily, but Sabily is Ubuntu, only customization and additional exstra Islamic software. Anyway, for now I'm decided not to upgrade it.
