Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 Oneiric Ocelot

I have tried Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 codename Oneiric Ocelot, which was launched a few days ago. Running it on my Sabily Badr 11.04 using Virtualbox SE programs. There is not much difference in the installation process compared to earlier versions, 11.04 Natty Narwhal. Its default wallpaper also same.

Here are some screenshots of Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 Oneiric Ocelot installation process.

1. Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Beta 1 start.

2. Try or Install Menu.

3. Preparing to install start.

4. Installation type.

5. Installation confirmation.

6. Scan disk and installation start.

7. Location select.

8. Keyboard layout select.

9. Some user information required.

10. Installation in progress.

11. Installation complete and restart requested.

12. Default desktop.

Later we will look around and find the differences compared to previous versions Natty Narwhal 11.04.

BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura

Lets see another Linux operating system call BlankOn, the most popular distro from Indonesia. Now they already on version 7.0 with code name Pattimura. "Pattimura" is name of one popular Indonesian warrior if we read on Wikipedia Indonesia. I already try to run it on Virtualbox. It have very nice desktop appearance. The color of its own wallpaper also very attracting.

Another distro call BlankOn Sajadah is an Islamic version of BlankOn. Now waiting for version 7.0 release. Later we will discuss about it.

Now let see some screenshot of BlankOn 7.0 Pattimura at installation process.

Live DVD starts with three options.

Select to install BlankOn starts.

Installation Menu with Indonesian language. Select language to install.

Ready to install BlankOn.

Select installation destination.

Destination confirmation.

Select location.

Select keyboard layout.

Name and password.

Installation completed. Restart request.

First login. Nice appearance.

For Indonesian, maybe you interested to try this distro. It fully support for Indonesian language and design by Indonesian.

Eid Mubarak 1432 Wallpaper

I edit Sabily 11.04 Badr wallpaper with Eid Mubarak 1432 text. Maybe you can use it on this 1432 Eid. Also can be sent to your friend while at the same time help to promote Sabily operating system.

I had try Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot Alpha 3 and found Gnome3 on it. Not sure for it final release which will be set to default. This version also use Linux Kernel 3.0 that announced by the founder Mr. Linus Torvalds. Some new updated software were added too.
